The official who “paved the way” for the scandalous Trukhin: what is the acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration Biletskyi hiding?

The acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, Myroslav Biletskyi, who is involved in the scandal of former MP Oleksandr Trukhin’s travel abroad, seems to have decided to remove all references to himself from the Internet. Information has surfaced online that Biletsky is actively “cleaning up” his reputation – but does the official, who has been involved in a number of scandals in recent years, have anything to hide?

We would like to remind you that Oleksandr Trukhin, the former MP who was involved in a high-profile car accident and was accused of trying to bribe, managed to travel abroad thanks to the Shlyakh program. This system, designed to facilitate travel for humanitarian purposes, is increasingly mentioned in scandals of abuse.

It is interesting that Zakarpattia region is among the leaders in terms of the number of travel permits, and the responsibility for this lies with the deputy heads of the DMA. Is it a coincidence that Biletskyi, who has already changed five political parties, rose to this position and helped the scandalous ex-MP? Or are we dealing with an official who is used to acting on the principle that “friends are more important than the law”?

What is known about Biletskyi’s “schemes”?

Corruption schemes on state projects. Myroslav Biletskyi replaced Viktor Mykyta, who recently moved to the Presidential Office, as the acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

Open sources indicate that Biletskyi regularly misappropriated public funds through affiliated companies. A particularly dubious role is played by Khust-Spetsavtotrans, a company that was first run by Biletskyi’s father-in-law and later headed by a close friend of his son. Despite the change of formal managers, the company continues to win tenders worth tens of millions of hryvnias.

Biletskyi is considered the “gray cardinal” of the “Big Construction” project in Zakarpattia, where millions are rumored to have gone into “unnecessary pockets” instead of being spent on road repairs.

In his declaration, Biletskyi indicated an official income of 504 thousand hryvnias, but his savings amount to more than $82.5 thousand. Where did this money come from if he indicated his salary and symbolic “10 hryvnias” from the Zakarpattia Golden Nuts LLC as his main source of income?

Local residents of Zakarpattia blame Biletsky for the tragedy on the bridge over the Teresva River. For many years, residents have been waiting for repairs, and the bridge has become dangerous, but it has not been repaired under the Big Construction program, which was led by Biletsky.

Following the complaint of the NGO NON-STOP, the Uzhhorod Prosecutor’s Office registered the incident in the URPI under Part 1 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. We are waiting for the results of the investigation.
