Head of Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District Court Martynov avoids responsibility for an accident with a victim

Yevhen Martynov, chairman of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court, driving a Volkswagen, hit a motorcyclist. It happened on July 4, 2023, at about 17:45, at the intersection of Pravednykiv and Dorohozhytska streets in Kyiv. The victim suffered serious injuries, including a closed head injury, and lost consciousness.

Now Martynov, using his influence, is trying to avoid responsibility for the accident, as well as for numerous cases of covering up for criminal groups. In particular, the police task force that arrived at the scene of the accident was equipped with body cameras that recorded the incident. However, Martynov, relying on his connections, is doing everything he can to hush up the case and “lose” the footage. This explains why the SBI’s Kyiv City Department did not receive any materials about the incident, and accordingly, did not enter information into the URPTI.

We have already sent complaints to a list of Kyiv and central law enforcement and regulatory agencies demanding an immediate investigation into the case, the removal of Martynov from the judicial office, and bringing him to justice. We will not allow another manifestation of criminal arrogance by the head of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv to be ignored. In addition, we urge witnesses to the accident to send any information related to the accident committed by Martynov, as this material may be the key to justice.

What is known about the head of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv, Martynov?

Yevhen Martynov is known for his dubious judicial activities. He played a key role in the acquittal of Maidan judge Oksana Tsarevych, who ruled against activists of the Revolution of Dignity. In addition, Martynov systematically ruled in favor of organized criminal groups by taking bribes, as evidenced by the prosecutor’s office. His influence can also be seen in the fact that the Shevchenkivskyi District Court has repeatedly refused to consider complaints about the inaction of law enforcement officers, blocking the public’s attempts to achieve justice.

Chief of Staff of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court and L/DNR relations

Alina Zborshchyk, former chief of staff of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court, is closely associated with Martynov and has deep ties to the occupied territories. She is the sole owner of Grand LLC, registered in Luhansk, which produces plastic containers and paper products. This company has also been registered as Grand LLC in Russia since May 2015, even before her work in court, with the same registration address in both countries.

In 2023, the company’s revenue amounted to 27.48 million rubles, profit was 8.2 million rubles, and taxes to the Russian budget and pension fund amounted to 600 thousand and 1 million rubles, respectively. The firm has 10 employees and is run by Sergey Lipchenko, with Russian phone numbers in the documents.

It is known that in 2017, Zborshchyk renewed her driver’s license and passport in Luhansk region, which confirms her ties to the occupied territory. Her mother, Alla Zborshchyk, received a Russian passport in 2023, becoming a citizen of Russia and paying taxes that finance the war against Ukraine.

In addition, Zborshchik’s declaration modestly lists a salary of 27 thousand hryvnias per month and no property or cars, which contrasts with her real lifestyle. She lives in a townhouse near Kyiv, which is not officially registered, and the land under it belongs to her mother, Alla Zborshchyk. She is driven to court by a Toyota Camry registered to a stranger whom Alina allegedly “does not know.”

The official’s mother owns several apartments in Kyiv, in particular in the Autograph and Smartplaza residential complexes, where the market value is much higher than the declared value. The main source of the family’s income is her mother’s business in occupied Luhansk, where the company Grand pays taxes to Russia: 600 thousand rubles to the budget and 1 million rubles to the pension fund. These funds are likely to be “gifts” for Zborshchyk, which she conceals by registering property in the names of her relatives.

So, what other schemes are hidden behind the walls of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court?
